Under general supervision, the Plan set up Coordinator main responsibility is to support our local affiliates and operations in setting up employer plans, insurance plan benefits and insurance carrier setup in support of new contractual agreements, insurance and patient financial responsibility and claim creation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Print local Affiliates plan request.
•Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders
•Verify data by comparing it to source documents
•Maintain highly organized and accurate database of employer plan and insurance carrier records.
•If needed verify patient’s insurance eligibility and patient specific benefits; waiting periods; limitations; frequencies.
•Verify coverage using carriers websites, fax back and phone call
•Understand plan designs and apply knowledge to plan setup.
•Perform systematic benefit expiration plan review of existing plans.
