Tanisha Wicker is a dynamic and strategic Human Resources executive with a track record of creating and leading HR initiatives that effectively support business operations and organizational goals. She has 21 years’ experience in HR, beginning in the telecommunications and retail grocery industries, starting as a recruiter progressively earning positions of greater responsibility. During her nearly 14 years with Smile Brands, she has built a solid reputation for implementing department goals that have the most positive impact on the organization’s profitability and productivity, while improving team member satisfaction. Tanisha is adept at communicating, mentoring and integrating diverse teams around a common vision.

In fewer than five years, Tanisha earned promotions from regional HR Manager to Director, Senior Director, Vice President and most recently Senior VP. She was deserving of these promotions by demonstrating what it means to be a servant leader. Tanisha is an advocate for employees and affiliated providers, earning their confidence and trust with her integrity, ethics and transparency. When Smile Brands named her “Business Support Individual of the Year” for 2014, she set a record for nominations among her peers and messages of congratulations from those she has served.

Tanisha attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she studied Human Resources Management and Services. Her community service includes volunteering with Meals on Wheels and various women’s shelters in the Dallas area, delivering meals to elderly and underprivileged individuals. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR). Tanisha loves boating, cooking and attending live entertainment events. She and her husband enjoy traveling with their three children.
