SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING
Laura Rod joined Smile Brands, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Marketing in 2025. She leads the company’s marketing strategy, overseeing brand development, patient engagement initiatives, and digital marketing efforts to support Smile Brands’ mission of delivering Smiles for Everyone®.
With over 20 years of experience in marketing—and 15 years leading marketing efforts for multi-site healthcare organizations—Laura brings a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges within the healthcare industry. She is especially passionate about partnering with doctors to support the growth of their practices while helping patients become more informed and empowered to access the care they need.
Laura spent eight years at Pacific Dental Services, where she led the field marketing team and oversaw omnichannel marketing strategy and execution. During her tenure, she also played a key role in shaping the brand strategy for Smile Generation and led marketing efforts for orthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
After her time at Pacific Dental Services, Laura continued to focus on multi-site healthcare, serving in marketing leadership roles across various specialties. She led the marketing function for four years at Acuity Eye Group—a vision care company offering ophthalmology, optometry, and retina services—and then transitioned into the dermatology space, where she spent four years driving marketing strategy and growth.
Originally from Ohio, Laura has called California home for the past 18 years. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their dog, cherishing the everyday moments that make life meaningful.
