Dr. Mark Duffy, recent graduate of Case School of Dental Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, has opted to return to his roots to start his career at Bright Now Dental as a local dentist in Miamisburg, OH.
As a top student at one of the nation’s leading dental schools, Dr. Duffy faced many options on where to practice dentistry post-graduation. The same motivations that drove Dr. Duffy to the profession also influenced his decision on where to practice.
“I’m all about providing quality patient care to those who need it,” shares Dr. Duffy. “When deciding where to work after dental school, finding a practice focused on helping more people access consistent, preventative and restorative care was paramount.”
According to the US Department of Health and Human Services report on Health Professional Shortage Areas (HSPAs), Ohio ranks twelfth in the nation for dentists and specialists shortages. An estimated 1.6 million people in the state live in underserved communities.
Dr. Duffy was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio and received his bachelor and master’s degrees from Wright State University in Dayton before enrolling in dental school. Coming from a blue collar family, where neither of his parents had the opportunity to attend college, Dr. Duffy is a strong believer that anything is possible with a strong support system, including access to quality dental services. He is thrilled to be returning as a dentist in the Dayton area to help make sure that his friends and neighbors in the community continue to have access to the dental services they need.
