Smile Brands Inc. together with its affiliate Johnson Family Dental announced today the acquisition of Palm Dental Care at 225 North Santa Rosa St., in San Luis Obispo, CA.
Johnson Family Dental provides comprehensive general and specialty dental care plus orthodontics at locations throughout Central California. The rapidly growing group has eight convenient locations serving residents of Santa Barbara, Solvang, Ventura, Camarillo, Port Hueneme, Newbury Park, Goleta and now San Luis Obispo. Founded in 1963, Dr. Steven Johnson purchased the practice in 2001 and had expanded locations and services to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
“Through this new partnership, we are pleased to be able to expand the care that our patients have come to expect at all Johnson Family Dental locations,” said Dr. Steven Johnson. “The same providers and staff will remain at the San Luis Obispo location, so patients will continue to enjoy the high quality care they are accustomed to just under a different name.”
Dr. Jason Leroux will remain with the practice and, consistent with all Johnson Family Dental locations, will deliver comprehensive oral health care including preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Leroux is a top rated dentist who brings years of experience to this office. The practice will be rebranded Johnson Family Dental, and area residents will enjoy expanded weekday hours and flexible financing options, making it easier for area residents to get the care they need.
Smile Brands launched their partnership with Johnson Family Dental in June 2017 to provide business support services; including, purchasing, payroll, billing, real estate, marketing and more. By partnering with Smile Brands, affiliated groups can accelerate their growth through add-on acquisitions, new locations and by leveraging the combined scale and operational expertise of Smile Brands and their supported groups.
