Thailand Mission Trip Announced

Smile Brands Inc. is bringing its philosophy of “Smiles for Everyone®!” to the people of Thailand this month. Following a successful trip last year to Asunción, Paraguay through the “Smiles for Everyone®!” Foundation in December 2011, a team of employees and dentists is continuing its philanthropic efforts by bringing dental services to an impoverished community in Chiang Rai, Thailand from May 17-26. “Our trip to Paraguay was unbelievably enlightening,” says Smile Brands President and CEO, Steve Bilt. “We saw people so badly in need of dental care that without it, some may have died. We didn’t necessarily expect such extreme conditions, but after seeing them we are more energized than ever to continue our mission to bring dental care to as many communities around the world as we can.” See more of what Steve has to say about the upcoming mission in the video.

Paraguay Mission in December, 2011

Smile Brands Inc. renewed its commitment to provide “Smiles for Everyone®!” with a mission trip to Asunción, Paraguay in December, 2011. President and CEO Steve Bilt led a team of executives and dentists on an 8-day visit of orphanages and nutrition centers, bringing critical oral care to residents who otherwise have no access to dental services. Nicknamed SEAL Team One (Service Expedition Accelerating Leaders), the group ultimately helped over 300 children, and performed over one thousand extractions and restorations. The video below showcases some of the most stirring moments of the trip, for both the patients, doctors and executives themselves. Smile Brands Inc. and the Smiles for Everyone Foundation are planning two additional mission trips in 2012, to be announced in the coming months.
